Key takeaways

  • MyPlanetProof replaces the old Excel checklist with an online digital checklist to assess On the way to PlanetProof certification compliance.

  • Growers and inspectors can now check crop compliance with PlanetProof requirements online, streamlining audit preparation.

  • The platform centralizes and automates certification data and document uploads, reducing administrative burden.

  • MyPlanetProof supports future database integrations to further cut administrative effort and improve sustainability reporting.

SMK and Simvia develop MyPlanetProof for 'On the way to PlanetProof'

In cooperation with SMK, Simvia has developed the online connection to the MyPlanetProof  tool. Agriplace has developed the online environment MyPlanetProof on behalf of SMK. The development of the PlanetProof portal was partially funded with support from the “Kansen voor West” subsidy program, which is co-financed by the European Union.

Through MyPlanetProof, growers and inspectors can now check online to what extent a crop meets the requirements of the On the way to PlanetProof quality mark. This partnership is an important step towards making the certification process in the agricultural sector more efficient. The MyPlanetProof tool will replace the certification standard’s current checklist.

More user-friendly certification process

Until recently, On the way to PlanetProof worked with an Excel spreadsheet. SMK is now replacing it with the user-friendly digital checklist in MyPlanetProof. Through the platform, growers can easily and efficiently prepare for inspections by collecting the documents necessary for inspections. Certification bodies conduct inspections within MyPlanetProof, where the checklist is always up-to-date and easy to manage.

Sustainable cooperation- Agriplace simplicity for growers

Agriplace was selected as a partner because of its strong position in the

certification of agricultural supply chains. The platform helps more than 900 growers in the Netherlands to make their certification processes simpler and more efficient. It also supports more than 200 wholesalers and retailers in Europe with responsible sourcing, making it the largest compliance network in the food and beverage industry. With MyPlanetProof, Agriplace offers growers a user-friendly environment that allows them to manage their certifications, save time and successfully prepare for inspections. Agriplace continues to update and improve its platform so that the latest user needs and technological developments are met.

Automated data collection and sustainability monitoring with MyPlanetProof

Growers benefit from MyPlanetProof due to its central and automated platform for certification. Growers do not need to make use of various tools, and instead can upload all MyPlanetProof documents in one place, making the process much more efficient and automated. In the future, it will be possible to link the platform to other databases, further reducing the administrative burden around certifications. Data collected during inspections will be stored in a database and used for MyPlanetProof reports, thus providing insight into MyPlanetProof’s the contribution of the label's contribution to sustainability. Data from growers will only be used with their  permission, and published data will never be traceable to individual companies.

Phased access for growers

The first version of MyPlanetProof is now available. In this phase, inspectors are getting to know the platform and work processes are being optimised. Growers can, at the request of certification bodies already use MyPlanetProof. In the coming months, the platform will be rolled out further and growers will be invited to carry out their self-assessments through the MyPlanetProof platform. Involved parties will be informed about these developments.

Agriplace-Farm Audit to reduce administrative burden

In addition to MyPlanetProof, Agriplace offers a separate module, Agriplace-Farm

Audit, to further reduce administrative burdens for growers. This module eliminates double entry across different standards and helps growers to manage their certification processes more efficiently. The Agriplace-Farm Audit offers growers the opportunity to centralise their certification administration by keeping all documents in one place. Users with a paid subscription (285 euros per year)save valuable time and effort in their inspection compliance processes.

New users can try the module for free for one month via this link.
