got

questions

Answers to the most asked questions

How does the AI document scanning work?

When suppliers upload documents that aren't from connected databases, Simvia's AI automatically scans and extracts key information like expiry dates, grades, scopes, product categories, ingredients, allergens, and nutritional values. This eliminates manual data entry and ensures accuracy. The AI currently works with certificates, social audit reports, specifications, and technical data sheets.

Can simvia integrate with our ERP system?

Yes, Simvia has a public API that allows bi-directional integration with ERP systems like SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and others. You can automatically sync supplier data, push compliance information back to your ERP, and trigger automatic requests when new suppliers are added to your system.

What sustainability regulations does Simvia help with?

Simvia helps companies navigate multiple sustainability regulations including CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), CSDDD (Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive), EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation), the German Supply Chain Act (LkSG), and the PPWR. The platform provides the data collection and risk assessment infrastructure needed to comply with these evolving regulations.

What databases does Simvia connect to?

Simvia connects to GlobalG.A.P., BRCGS, FSSC, TRACES (organic), QS, PlanetProof, BioC and more.
Using supplier identifiers like a GGN or BRC site code, the platform automatically retrieves certificates and updates them daily, eliminating manual requests and ensuring your data is always up to date.

How does Simvia handle certificate expiration and renewals?

Simvia automatically monitors certificate expiration dates and can send automatic renewal requests to suppliers before certificates expire. You can configure how far in advance you want to be notified and how many follow-up reminders should be sent. For certificates connected to databases like Global GAP or BRC, the system automatically generates updated certificates when new ones are issued.

Can we communicate with suppliers within the Simvia platform?

Yes, there's a messaging service within each request that allows you to communicate directly with suppliers without going back to email. Suppliers can provide updates like "running late, will have it next week" directly through the platform.
